First sip, right away I'm getting this lovely 'bourbon fruity' nose — think citrus zest, maybe some orange peel. Not aggressive at all, just very welcoming. The body's firm though, gives it a nice backbone. Classic fresh, citrusy character throughout. And honestly it stays very much the same from start to finish, which I quite like. Some whiskies change loads but this one's consistent. Getting some real liquorice allsorts vibes on the palate, maybe even jelly babies? That kind of old-school sweet shop thing, you know, all those sweets made thereof from childhood. There's a fresh oaky backbone running through it that grounds everything nicely. More citrus comes through as it opens up. Finish is quite long, with a touch of green oak in the aftertaste that lingers. Not bitter or anything, just... there. Overall very easy to drink. Could easily have another glass without thinking about it. The kind of whisky you'd reach for on a Tuesday evening, nothing complicated, just satisfying. 🥃

Pouring this, I'm met with a lovely pale gold colour. The nose is immediately sexy baby – loads of vanilla and that classic bourbony fruitiness. It's packed with bananas and sweets made thereof, like jelly babies or Haribo. First sip is juicy plums and mangos, really citrusy with tangerines popping through. The body's firm but very easy to drink. There's a fresh oaky backbone and some liquorice allsorts tucked in there. The finish is quite long, very much the same fresh, fruity profile. For one of the fruitiest Speysiders I've tried, this is probably hard to beat. Not aggressive at all, it's just... pleasant. 🍊🍌 Definitely growing on me.

Warm and cosy dram 🥃 Getting a bit of honey, soft oak, light spice and a wee touch of smoke. Feels smooth, slightly sweet, with a dry-ish finish. Quite easy to sit with on a chilly evening.

Lovely cosy dram 🥃 Bit of honey, soft spice, dried fruit and a wee smoky edge. Feels warm, easy-going, and nicely comforting on a chilly evening. Slightly oaky at the end, in a good way.
