Crikey, this one’s a bit of a beast 🤠 Massive peaty year going on here, really coastal and herbal – reminds me of wet pine sap and oyster shells, with a curiously softer, almost hay-like edge underneath. It’s fat and chiselled, very oily and creamy in texture. Get distinct notes of bandages and embrocations, but in a good way – like an old apothecary. There’s wormwood and liquorice in there too, almost like a superb artisan absinth, with huge resinous notes and cough drops. Less chocolate than some, more that dry, herbal chartreuse vibe. Not extremely long on the finish, but the complexity is astounding. Huge whisky, genuinely indestructible character.

Wow, this is a beast. Totally makes me think of a stormy coast, with that ash and tarry smoke, but then there’s this wild herbal thing going on – like cough syrup mixed with old herbs and wormwood. Weirdly, it works. It’s fat and rich but still sharp, you know? Get hints of oysters and salted fish, that coastal saltiness, and then this resinous, almost linoleum touch. There’s sweetness too, like salted chestnut honey, but it’s dry. The finish isn’t the longest, but it’s so complex, with liquorice and something like old candle wax. Honestly, it’s both huge and refreshing. Feels ancient but alive. Nothing like it. 🌊🌿

Nose: bit of smokey peat, appel crumble, maybe honey? Taste: marmalade on toast, vanilla custard, some nutmeg. Finish: warm like a hug, hints of dark chocolate 🍫 & old leather chairs. Mouthfeel: round & oily, kinda chewy... v satisfying 😊 Worth savourin', not rushin'! 🥃

Proper lush smell, like burnt toffee 🥃 Taste is all smooth honey and a hint of oak 🔥 Getting a bit of apple pie finish, lovely 👌 Def a winter warmer this one.

Right, so this dram starts with a proper smoky whack, like a bonfire 🥃. Then you get this bita honey and vanilla coming through, sweet but not too much. A right good balance, that. Finishes with some oak and a bit of spice, lingers nicely 👍. A solid pour for a chilly evening.
