Whaaat, this is something else! First hit’s like finding the largest collection of mushrooms ever in an old forest – earthy, damp, totally tertiary. Then it shifts. Getting this weird but amazing vibe of old chartreuse and pu-erh tea, maybe a hint of old rubber and a damp car engine? 🛞
There’s a perfect, oily mouth feel, almost an avalanche of greases and waxes. Flavours? Smoked meat, very bacony, with touches of prunes and good dark chocolate. And ham! Very moderate smokiness throughout. The salt note is there too, just enough.
Finish is quite long, with those teas coming through. Oak’s perhaps a little more noticeable now. Absolutely terrific stuff. 46% vol.’s never been a bad strength, works perfectly here. No primary or secondary notes, just deep, complex layers. Perhaps refill? Reminds me of those old G&M’s 1982s in the best way. Perfect. 😊🍄
