Hmm, this one's interesting 🤔 First got this lovely, overripe pear note mixed with cocoa – like biting into a chocolate-covered pear from a farmers' market. Then it turns into this raspberry jam spread on dark toast, with a tiny splash of mint liqueur hiding in the background. The oak is just starting to lean a bit dry, but not too much. There's a flash of metal polish which sounds weird but actually works here, leading into this rich, chocolaty and peppery aftertaste that lingers. Very different from your usual sherried whisky. It makes me think of really old balsamic vinegar from Modena – the true stuff, not the cheap kind. And pipe tobacco again, like after my grandad used to smoke. A hint of cough syrup sweetness comes through, but balanced by old earthy pu-erh tea. Honestly, the whole mix is quite elegant and "infused" – no sherry monster here. There's liquorice, walnuts, coffee/chocolate, and some cloves too. A joyous mixture of juicy fresh fruits and deeper notes. Really pleasant all around. This is quality stuff. 👍🥃

quite a joyful one this one, starts off smelling like roses and overripe pears... then there's mushrooms and some cloves too, with pipe tobacco again mouthfeel is not too drying, juicy fresh fruits come through, and it's quite 'infused' with raspberry jam and walnut notes later, coffee and cocoa mix in, with a bit of cough syrup sweetness... the aftertaste is chocolaty and peppery, like dark coffee/chocolate... reminds me of old earthy pu-erh tea not a wham-bam sherry monster, more like drops of mint liqueur mixed with light pipe tobacco and liquorice... some oak starting to become a notch drying but overall very elegant, very different, like real stuff from Modena 🍂 other aspects are really pleasant, not industrial junk for supermarkets, a true high quality old Glenrothes style... just wish the finish was a bit longer!

闻起来有核桃和一点点薄荷酒的感觉,像是打开了杯陈年普洱。口感不干,带着点果酱和香料的滋味,隐约有点草菇的鲜味。尾调是烟草和黑巧克力,挺有意思的。🍷

Right then, poured a dram and let it sit for a bit. On the nose, I'm getting proper mushrooms and that odd but fascinating scent of metal polish, like a high quality old Glenrothes would have. It's not that industrial rubbish for supermarkets. First sip... oh blimey. It's like very old balsamic vinegar, the true stuff from Modena. Then cocoa and drops of mint liqueur come through. A joyous mixture really, with coffee and walnuts following. It's very different. Notes of overripe pears, not too drying. Hints of old earthy pu-erh tea and light pipe tobacco. The oak is starting to become a notch drying on the finish, but it's not some wham-bam sherry monster. Other aspects are really pleasant – I get raspberry jam, and some cloves too, maybe even a touch of roses and liquorice. Quite the complex old sipper. Cheers. 🥃

Warm and mellow, with a wee hit of smoke, vanilla and toffee 🍯 Bit of oak and spice hanging about, plus a soft fruity sweetness. Feels cosy rather than flashy — lovley for a quiet evening.
