Light gold colour in the glass... wow, that’s some serious shoe polish on the nose, almost industrial. Then underneath, fresh marzipan and this tarry peatiness, like the brightest old casks of PE. Very dry at first sip, seriously briny – oysters, seawater, the lot. A little fatter and fruitier then, with touches of glue and grapefruit skins. Still young, maybe? Long finish, epic and awesome, but it’s all tar and ashtrays. Licking ashtrays, really. That Port-Elleny peatiness, maybe Rare Malts style, reminds me of the 1982s. Tincture of iodine, pepper, very tarry. Not this baby’s best angle, though – rather tight, briny and smoky, but wee tad simple? Still, wow. 🤔

Wow, this one's extremely different. Still pretty young on the nose, almost a little tight at first. But give it a minute... wham, lemony pepper and clean seawater hit you, very briny and smoky, a real straight peater. The palate is loaded with grapefruits, on that sauvignony, fresh side. There's fresh marzipan and then that serious, tarry peatiness, really loads of it. A bit of varnish and touches of glue come through too. Not the smoothest, not this baby's best angle maybe, but it's got character. Epic, long finish. The briny smoke just lingers. A wild, young dram in a light gold colour. Not the most complex, but that raw, awesome power is something. Feels like a micro-bottling from a very specific cask, very dry at first and then that fruit tries to peek out. 👍

Just had a sip of this dram and, crikey, it's a wild ride! First off, wham – briny and smoky, like licking ashtrays by the sea. Very dry at first, rather tight, with notes of tarry varnish and a tincture of iodine. It's young, epic in style, kinda like the 1982s but with a sauvignony side. Then it opens up a little fatter and fruitier, though not this baby's best angle, to be honest. Pepper kicks in, and the freshest grapefruit skins add a zing. Seawater and oysters come to mind – briny and awesome. Micro-bottling vibe, but remember, whisky is not wine! 😊🥃

Had this one neat last night. Right off the bat, got a real blast of tarry peatiness – straight-up smoke and seaside stuff. It’s briny and smoky, like standing by the harbour with some oysters. Reminds me a bit of that classic Port-Elleny peatiness, but still young, you know? It’s very dry at first, then gets kinda lemony, loaded with grapefruits. There’s touches of glue and varnish, even a little tincture of iodine in there. The sauvignony side comes through a bit, but honestly, not this baby’s best angle. It’s still a bit straighter, less complex. But the finish! Long finish, epic even. Feels like a micro-bottling of those brightest old casks. Extremely different from most I try. 👍

Warm and a bit spicy at first, then goes mellow with honey, oak and a wee fruity lift. Nice cosy finish, quite comforting on a chilly evening 🥃
