Wow, dark amber colour really catches the eye. The nose is lovely-lovely with pencil shavings and touches of beef bouillon – kind of meaty and a funny one. At 57% vol, it's surprisingly smooth. Sipping, I get huge coffee notes and on raisins and PX, with figs, dates, and sultanas giving a jammy side fighting back. There's a saltiness and heavy orange liqueur. Water makes it a bit dry, but more zests come out. Quality's extremely high so far, nearly perfect despite the oak becoming a notch too obvious. Reminds me of many old rums, polished and excellent. I love all this! 😊

Lovely wee dram — soft honey and vanilla at first, then a bit of oak, dried fruit and gentle spice. Feels warming without being too heavy, with a cosy smoky edge at the end 🥃 Quite easy to sip, proper nice after dinner.

Well, mate, this whisky's got a real smoky vibe on the nose – like a cosy bonfire. 🏕️ Then you get these sweet hits of honey and vanilla, maybe some apple too. It's smooth going down, but ends with a spicy kick that lingers. Quite lovely, innit? 😊 Oh, and a bit of oak and nutmeg in there as well. Really warms you up on a cold night.

Just had a wee dram, innit. 🥃 First thing you get is a lovely smokiness, like a bonfire but sweet-like. Then it's all creamy vanilla and toffee, with a bit of orange peel zing. Definately some oak and a touch of honey in there. Finishes long and warm, with a hint of spice and dark chocolate. Y'know, a proper winter warmer. Not too harsh, just a gentle glow. 😋 Wouldn't say no to another, that's for sure.
