Just had a dram from this shared cask – the finish is long, reminding me of old tools and metal polish. The peat is superbly peaty, sooty and orangey, like ripe oranges with a gold hue. There's quite some tobacco and shoe polish notes, hinting at much older vintages. Unreduced, it shows more depth and complexity – very funny and interesting! 😄 With a leafy ashiness sneaking in.

Wow, that's superbly peaty right off the bat. Getting a lot of orangey and ripe oranges on the nose, really fresh. It's a bit odd, though, in a very funny and interesting way. Tastes like... metal polish and gold? Almost like sniffing an old shoeshine kit. Definitely sooty and ashy smoke. For a lower strength, it packs a punch. There's a leafy ashes thing going on, with hints of tobacco and hay. It's got more depth and complexity when unreduced, honestly. Simply a great one. A long finish with more of all that ashy character. It really hints at much older vintages. Great nose! 👍

Just tried this from a shared cask – poured gold into my glass. The nose is brilliant: ripe oranges, hay, and a touch of metal polish with passion fruit. On tasting, it's very ashy and sooty, with cedar wood, old tools, and tobacco. Leafy ashes, rooty earthy notes. Great body, and the finish is long – shoe polish and lingering OBE. Lower strength, but more depth and complexity unreduced. Hints at much older vintages. Simply a great one! 😄

This one's got a great body, really smooth. Unreduced, it's got more depth and complexity - you can really sense hints of something much older. 🥃 I'm getting orangey notes, like ripe oranges, with some cedar wood and tobacco underneath. A bit of that classic hay, maybe? There's a lingering high-level Old Bottling Effect, which is always welcome. 👍 Lower strength but don't let that fool you. It's superbly peaty, with more of all that goodness coming through. A touch of gold in the glass, maybe some shoe polish on the nose - oddly pleasant! Long finish, with quite some tobacco staying with you. Reminds me of old tools in a wood workshop. Simply a great one, honestly.

Warm and a bit honeyed at first 🍯 Then some gentle oak, spice, and a wee smoky edge. Feels cosy, smooth-ish, with a dry finish that lingers nicely. Proper nice for a quiet evening.
