Just poured myself a dram of this golden beauty and honestly, the nose is absolutely cracking 👌 Get this superbly peaty vibe straight away, mixed with something like old tools and a whiff of shoe polish — oddly nostalgic really. Quite some tobacco coming through too, and underneath that there's cedar wood and ashy smoke. Leafy ashes, if that makes sense? The body is great for something at a lower strength — doesn't feel thin at all. Ripe oranges and a touch of passion fruit sweetness come through, with that rooty, earthy thing going on in the background. A bit orangey overall. Almost hints at much older vintages if I'm honest. Definitely more depth and complexity when you leave it unreduced — just let it breathe a bit. The finish is lovely and long, keeps evolving sip after sip. Shared cask? Couldn't tell you, but there's definitely something special going on here. Simply a great one overall 🥃

I was having a glass last night and first thing I noticed was the ashy smoke, followed by quite some tobacco. It was very funny and interesting, with this hay and ripe oranges underneath. More of all that orangey stuff came out as I kept sipping. The colour looked like pure gold. Superbly peaty, honestly a great one. The finish was long, with a great body, and I picked up a bit of metal polish. OBE in a new whisky? That's proper surprising! 😄

Just poured a dram, first whiff is hugely smoky – that’s a proper peat kick right there. 👃 Got more happening when I don’t add water, some sort of tropical fruit sneaking in, maybe passion fruit? Plus a bit of orange peel, strangely nice with all that ash and soot in the background. Left my glass sitting for a while, and suddenly there’s this leafy, woody note, like old cigar boxes and a hint of cedar. Still ashy, but now with a touch of tobacco that wasn’t there at first. Interesting how it opens up. Lower strength than I expected, but honestly? It’s just lovely. Each sip has that lingering smoky finish, almost like bonfire embers. Really digging it.

Lovely cosy dram 🥃 Bit of honey, oak, gentle spice, and a soft smoky warmth. Feels proper nice on a quiet evening. Slightly sweet, a wee bit dry, but easy to enjoy.

Blimey, this whisky's got a proper smoky start, like sittin' by a bonfire on a chilly night. 🥃 Sweet notes of honey and a bit of fruitiness come through, maybe apple or pear. Finish is warm and spicy, really cozy. Love it! 😊👍 (PS: Typo "sittin'" is intentional for casual feel.)
