Just poured a dram and sat down by the old oak barrel I use as a side table. First sniff brings this smoky, almost like campfire embers left in the rain - that Süweckla thing, maybe? Then these herbal notes pop up, dill and fennel seeds, like rummaging through my grandma's herb cabinet. Takes a sip and wow, there's this bready, yeasty kick - proper sourdough right out of the oven, mixed with finger biscuits and that Jaffa cake citrus tang. The strength hits hard though, murderous really, makes your toes curl. 😅 In the middle, some orange peel and a whisper of prosecco bubbles, weirdly enough. Dries out quick with this rubbery, plastery thing going on. But the aftertaste... oh proper butterscotch and fudge, caramel swirling around for ages. Punches way above its weight, this one. Peppery finish with a Campari-like bitterness that keeps things interesting. Not for the faint-hearted, but bloody hell what a ride. 🔥

一上来就有股挺明显的酵母感，混着点橙皮似的清新，让我突然想起小时候吃的 Jaffa cakes 🤔 接着是烤面包的暖意，特别像那种旧式 one-penny-bread 的扎实感，真的 extremely bready 啊。黄油香很足，像 good butter 在嘴里化开，但不知怎的带了点 fennel seeds 和 aniseed 的微妙药草气。 酒精感有点 murderous strength，喝着喝着居然联想起 prosecco 和 ale 的混合气泡感，挺特别的。中段出现 sourdough 的微酸，又像白葡萄酒般轻盈，但底下铺着 proper fudge 的甜腻。 收尾时 caramel in the aftertaste 明显，却跳出点 Campari 的苦和 peppery 的刺激。偶尔一丝 rubber 味闪过，不过马上被 butterscotch 的甜盖住了。 整体算是 classic modern malt 吧，甜麦芽底子很足，但各种风味打架似的 extreme at times 🍯 喝完舌面留着 dry 的触感，像舔了块 plaster 的粉感——怪是怪，但居然有点上瘾？

Wow, this one's got quite the kick - murderous strength indeed! 😅 First thing I get is that lovely butterscotch sweetness, almost like soft white nougat melting away. There's something very bready going on too, like fresh sourdough or maybe finger biscuits dipped in ale. The middle's interesting - herbal notes come through, maybe some fennel seeds? And there's this dry, almost white wine quality that keeps it from being too sweet. Sweet malt backbone though, really nicely balanced at civilised levels. Finish is gorgeous - caramel in the aftertaste that just lingers, with a bit of peppery warmth. Almost reminds me of Jaffa cakes somehow? That orangey-chocolatey thing... 🍫 Oh and there's a subtle bitters note, could be that Süweckla character. Very good stuff overall, definitely feels like a proper competition malt whisky. 🥃 The kind of dram you'd happily have another of.

Quite bready and malty, like sourdough toast with a bit of orange peel 🍊 There’s a bitter Campari-ish edge, some aniseed, then butterscotch and caramel hanging about after. Bit of fizzy white wine/prosecco feel too. Odd wee rubbery note, but kind of works. Nice cosy dram, a tad quirky.

Soft and warming, with a bit of sweet spice and dark fruit. Feels cosy rather than loud — nice slow sipper by the fire 🥃 A wee bit smoky at the end, quite comforting.
