Well, just poured myself a glass. First sip hits me with this burst of gummy bears and apples – very fruity, lemon and granny smith come through sharp and bright. There's a lovely core of pure, clean malt with all its usual bits – barley and bread, almost a yeasty doughiness. And underneath, some green notes: fresh grass, leafy herbs, a bit of green tea and just a touch of earth. It's quite punchy and citrus-driven neat. A little water will sort things out, opens it up even more. The finish is rather long, leaving you with that sweet jelly baby note alongside the malty cereal. Honestly, feels totally in a state of nature, no wine cask needed here. A little generic perhaps? Maybe, but that green malt character is just wonderful. 🥃

Right, gave this a try. The finish is rather long, with a little earth and something on jelly babies. Also reminds me of white wine, very fruity too. That is to say excellent! Added a drop of water and it sorted things out, bringing barley and bread notes, lemon and granny smith. Nicely malty. Who needs a wine cask? Pure clean malt with its usual attributes. A little brutal neat, but no changes needed. 😊

Right then, poured a glass and gave it a nose. First thing that hit me was this very green, grassy note – like a freshly mown lawn or maybe some really sharp green tea. There's a bit of lemon in there too, like a Granny Smith apple, and something a touch yeasty, like the smell of a good bakery. First sip... it's a little sharp upfront, I won't lie. But a drop of water sorts that right out. It opens up into this lovely, clean malty sweetness. Really reminds me of barley sugar and a hint of those gummy bears, the white and green ones! It's got that classic breadiness, like the crust of a warm loaf. The finish is rather long, with that grassy, almost leafy quality hanging on. It's quite a straightforward, pure malt – maybe a little generic for a complex mood, but sometimes that's exactly what you want. A solid, nicely malty dram for a Tuesday evening. 👍

Punchy little dram 🍃 Loads of green grass, leafy barley and fresh bread, with a splash of white wine fruitiness. Bit of green tea, maybe gummy bears too. Water softens it nicely — long, clean, natural, and honestly pretty lovely.

Warm and a bit fruity at first, then a gentle spice kicks in. Feels quite cosy, with a wee hint of oak and sweetness 🥃 Nice for a slow evening, not too fussy.
