Honestly this one just hits different. First thing I get is this massive cereal note — like proper porridge and warm bread dough straight out the oven 🍞 It's so barley-forward it's almost ridiculous. You can really feel the malted barley coming through, almost like someone distilled it five minutes ago and handed it to you. There's this lovely yeasty thing going on, reminds me of baker's yeast or even a sourdough starter. Very craft-feeling, if that makes sense. Then the fruit kicks in — got these soft white cherries and pears floating around, almost like pears soaked in eau-de-vie. A touch of lime zest cuts through nicely. Hints of white wine in there too, keeping it fresh. No oak getting in the way which I actually love. You just get the grain itself — barley, maybe a whisper of rye or wheat underneath. Raw wool and a bit of porridge on the nose. Finish goes on forever honestly. Still tasting that cerealy warmth ages later 🥃 Proper stuff this.

Okay, so I just poured myself a dram of this one. The first thing that hits the nose is this kind of craft industrial malt, like you’re in a working bakery that also handles raw wool and grains. It smells quite mineral, almost stony, mixed with porridge left on the stove. Taking a sip… wow, it’s totally barley. Really cerealy, almost like buckwheat or rye bread dough. I get this pure ale quality, with a touch of baker’s yeast. Then there’s this surprising freshness – white cherries and a bit of lime, a hint of white wine and pears cutting through the grains. It’s porridgy and feels the barley this much, you know? All grains, quasi-grains even, but somehow so mature and integrated. Really something to chew on. 🥃

Honestly, it’s like drinking a very mature, pure ale that’s been distilled into something stronger. The smell is all about that totally barley and sour dough – like a warm, porridgy, cerealy hug. On the taste, you get these quasi-grains and white cherries, maybe a bit of pear and a mineral, almost chalky thing. It’s so excellently close to the raw materials, like you can feel the barley and some leaven in there. There’s this great yeasty quality, like artisan ale or baker's yeast, not covered up by any oak pollution. It leaves a long finish, a bit of wheat and rye coming through, with a hint of lime and white wine. Really does feel like it was crafted by some ex-hippies who just love grains. It’s pure and mature.

Wow, that first sip is just… pure barley field. Like you’ve walked into a working farm or something. It’s so cerealy and porridgy, totally grains you know? Feels incredibly craft, almost artisan. There’s this great yeasty note, like fresh baker’s yeast or a pure ale ferment. A bit of wheat and rye in there too, makes it interesting. It’s got this excellent chalk and lime mineral thing going on, a bit like a good white wine finish. Honestly, it’s excellently close to the raw materials. No oak pollution at all. You really feel the barley this much. There’s a hint of raw wool and white cherries right at the back. The finish is long, keeps that great, mature, craft feel. Sort of sour dough and pear eau-de-vie coming through. 🌾 It’s a real experience, so distictly… itself.
