Rather soft on the palate, not a heavy one at all. Good body though, a bit surprising. Getting some quince jelly and a little tobacco in the background. Then comes this added layer of figs and sultanas, almost like a sweet sherry influence. Ah, and there's something like green tea (sugared). Oddly, unexpected notes of bay leaves pop up. This is a PX-ed whisky, you can tell – the PX is louder here than in the other one. Compared to the same whisky as the 22, this is grassier than the others. No more raisins here. It's a good cuvee, but feels a touch thin after a bit. The leafiness lingers. Makes me think of that book title, La Noche Bocca Arriba – a strange, vivid night. 🥃

Right, just nosing this one now… it’s that full gold with copper hues, glowing in the glass ✨ On the palate, you can tell the whisky mustn't be very young. Got a good maturity, not in a heavy oak way, but everything’s settled. There’s a lovely fruitcaky core—bags and bags and bags of sultanas, seriously. Then this added thin layer of figs and sultanas just sits on top, almost sticky but not cloying. No more raisins though, the sultanas are the star here. Bit of a surprise, mind: there’s little tobacco, just a whisper, and discreet whiffs of wisteria blossom, floral and slightly perfumed. It’s grassier than the others I’ve had, and whatever wine cask was involved, it definitely added a leafiness. Even got unexpected notes of bay leaves, earthy but fresh. Good body, coats the mouth nicely. It’s basically the same whisky as the 22, just with the volume turned slightly different. More orchardy, a bit wilder 🌾 Really comforting dram.

Right, here goes… First sip’s a proper cosy blanket of honey’d warmth 🍯 then a wee prickle of oak spice, like cinnamon but softer. Bit of orchard fruit stewin’ in the background—stewed apples, maybe a whisper of pear. Finish lingers with a gentle, peaty wisp an’ just a touch of sea salt dark chocolate 🍫 Not shouty, just… comfy. Like a dram by the fire after a rainy walk.

Ooh, nice. Got that smoky, peaty kick right off. Like a bonfire on the beach, you know? But then there's this lovely honey sweetness, almost like golden syrup. 🍯 A bit of oak and vanilla in there too. Smooth, very smooth. Coats the tongue nicely. Finishes long, with a hint of dried fruit. Proper warming stuff. 😊 Think I might be smelling a bit of... leather? Or is it just old books? Hard to say. Good, though. Really good.

Right, this whiskey's got a lovely smoky kick 🔥, with some sweet fruity bits – like apples and a touch of honey 🍯. The finish is warm and spicy, almost like a cozy autumn evening. Cheers! 🥃 Oh, and a bit of that rich, toffee-like vibe too. Really rather good. 😊
