Blimey, this one's a proper journey. First whiff brings benzine and fresh paint – like I'm in a garage workshop. Then vinegary porridge and white vinegar hit, sour as anything, but slices of ripe bananas come through sweetly. Starting with the maltings, it reminds me of old chimneys and peat ashes from the kiln. Honestly, felt like I'd downed the content of yet another ashtray – bags and bags of ashes everywhere. Good chilli sauce infused with ashes gives it a spicy kick. Notes of carbolineum and tar, evoking barbecues and fireplaces. More romantic than I expected, with a long finish. A little cardboard creeps in, alongside a kilogram of salmiak – salty things and stuffs. Liked that experience very much! 😊 Reminded us of Port Ellen, but strictly nothing to do with it. Between the excellent Watt and the others, this was unique.

Have to say, first sip was quite a shock. Extremely pungent and tight, almost like inhaling next to old chimneys or a barbecue. Then it opens up... I get slices of ripe bananas, but like they've been left next to a good litre of concentrated lemon juice and a splash of white vinegar. It's sharp. The finish is long. It just stays there, like the memory of peat ashes from the kiln. Bags and bags of ashes, really. Downed the content of yet another ashtray, I joked to myself. It's not all smoke. There's something more romantic, almost like white wine, maybe a muscadet? But then it's back to ashes and tar, with a hint of putty or fresh paint. Salty things and stuffs pop in and out. Gets me thinking of fireplaces and barbecues... strangely, it does remind us of Port Ellen, though that's strictly nothing to do with Port Ellen itself. Maybe just the vibe. The very end has this odd note, like benzin or even a touch of good chilli sauce infused with ashes. Weirdly, I liked that experience very much. 😊

Quite cosy on the nose — bit of honey, soft fruit and a wee touch of spice 🍯 Tastes warm, smooth-ish, with some oak and a gentle sweet finish. Nice for a slow sip on a chilly evening.

Quite cosy dram 🥃 I get soft honey, a bit of oak, dried fruit and a wee smoky edge. Feels warm, mellow, and slightly spicy at the end — proper easy to sit with.

Blimey, this whisky is propr lush. It's got a taste of hney and smoke, with a bit of erathiness. Reminds me of a good old saga by the fireside. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🥃
