Blimey, this one's a proper journey. First whiff brings benzine and fresh paint – like I'm in a garage workshop. Then vinegary porridge and white vinegar hit, sour as anything, but slices of ripe bananas come through sweetly. Starting with the maltings, it reminds me of old chimneys and peat ashes from the kiln. Honestly, felt like I'd downed the content of yet another ashtray – bags and bags of ashes everywhere. Good chilli sauce infused with ashes gives it a spicy kick. Notes of carbolineum and tar, evoking barbecues and fireplaces. More romantic than I expected, with a long finish. A little cardboard creeps in, alongside a kilogram of salmiak – salty things and stuffs. Liked that experience very much! 😊 Reminded us of Port Ellen, but strictly nothing to do with it. Between the excellent Watt and the others, this was unique.
