First thing I got was this massive hit of tar and old benzine, like licking a freshly tarred roof or something. Seriously, it’s like standing next to a working fireplace made of coal tar and carbolineum. Then it kinda softened out, weirdly reminded me of putty and fresh paint… like opening a really old window. There’s a weird muscadet note in there too, a bit vinegary like old porridge with white vinegar splashed on it. But then, oof, it shifts! Suddenly I’m getting slices of ripe bananas and a good litre of concentrated lemon juice all at once. Wild. Finish is long and tight, extremely pungent. Leaves you with this ashy taste, honestly felt like I’d downed the content of yet another ashtray. Old chimneys and all that. There’s some salty stuff right at the end too. All in all, it was a ride. Liked that experience very much, felt kinda… more romantic than expected, if that makes sense. Definitely brought back memories of some Port Ellen drams. 🥃
