Right, just poured a wee dram of this one. Nose is like sticking your head into a slightly damp bothy – woodsmoke, a whiff of old leather, and something almost like brine. There’s a honeyed sweetness trying to push through too, reminds me of set honey on toast at me gran’s. First sip hits with that campfire ash note, proper bonfire night vibes 🔥, then it melts into this toffee-apple chewiness. Bit of peppery warmth on the tongue, like cracked black pepper on grilled stone fruit. Finish is a slow fade of oaky spice and a faint, salty breeze. Leaves a nice cosy glow in the chest, not harsh at all. Reckon it’d be spot on with a square of dark choccy 🍫.
