Whiskyspace Notes 1500

Blimey, this one's quite the journey. First impression is actually very nice, got some lovely bananas in there, like a slightly overripe fruit salad. A few sips in and it shifts, there's a definite inky, wet newspaper vibe, you know? Like a rainy Sunday. Then it opens up with these fruitier tones, reminds me of a bakery first thing in the morning. But underneath, there's something else... a bit of smoky porridge, and weirdly, a pencil eraser. Totally needs water, mind you. A few drops and the charcoal comes through properly, with quite a lot of pepper on the tail end. It's a strange one. There's a bitter herbs note, maybe even a hint of metal polish, and the finish has this mashed celeriac earthiness. Altogether though? Unexpextedly civilised for such a strange flavour profile. Medium body, I'd say. Something to ponder at 4:30am. 🤔
