Just poured a cheeky dram tonight 🥃 It's very peaty right from the start, getting loads of camphor, eucalyptus, and oyster shells—reminds me of walking on a damp beach. Taking a sip... blimey, it's quite harsh at first! Feels a bit like a duel with blunted foils on the palate. Probably the cask to blame for that rough edge, and I'm definetly picking up more wood extracts now. Give it a minute though, and it gets fresher and tighter. There's this very pretty lemon note coming through 🍋 It’s super lemony, proper fresh lemon juice vibes, mixed with essential oil of thyme and a bit of lanolin. Feels much more civilized once it breathes a bit. Still got a nice little spicy kick to it—getting horseradish, and it's still about Mustard for me, maybe a tiny hint of wasbi right at the very back. The finish is very long, but strangely the aftertaste is healthier and feels purer again. Proper cracking pour, this one! 🌊

这杯有点意思，泥煤味很足但居然挺清新？像闻着海风带着牡蛎壳的咸鲜。尝起来有白葡萄酒的清爽感，隐约还有桉树那种凉凉的草本味。 咦，居然喝出点芥末和辣根的辛辣感，不过不冲鼻。后面慢慢出来些木头和羊毛脂的质感，柠檬酸度也冒出来了。余味超长…哈，像一场用钝剑的交锋，温和但留味很久。🌿

嘿，这杯喝起来感觉挺特别的。 感觉这次橡木桶的影响挺明显，算是“cask to blame”吧？开头有些扎嘴的胡椒感，比平时喝到的要冲（much more pepper）。慢慢化开后，居然尝到了清晰的柠檬皮味，挺清新的，但又带点复杂的羊毛脂（lanolin）感，有点像闻刚晒过太阳的羊毛衫。 中段有点像芥末酱（mustard）的刺激，但更深沉。烟熏味非常突出（very peaty），底下还藏着百里香精油和樟脑（camphor）那种清冽的草本气，让人精神一振。口感上感觉更紧实（tighter），木头的风味（more wood extracts）给的很足。 回味倒是变得柔和干净（aftertaste is healthier），那种草本和矿物的清新感一直留着。整体感觉像是一场有点激烈的、但用钝剑进行的对决（duel with blunted foils），过程有张力，收尾却很舒服。最后留在嘴里的，是种更纯粹（purer again）的、混合了泥煤和植物的气息。😮‍💨

Gave this one a proper go last night. Really quite peaty, not gonna lie — that smoke hits you right away and it's not messing about. There's something almost medicinal going on, like eucalyptus and camphor had a bit of a party in there. Got this horseradish and mustard kick that's surprisingly sharp, almost like a tiny hint of wasabi sneaking up on you. Quite harsh at first honestly, felt like a duel with blunted foils if I'm being dramatic about it 😅 But then it settles a bit — there's this lemony thing coming through, a very pretty lemon actually, kind of like a green apple liqueur mixed with some white wine character. And underneath all that there's lanolin and oyster shells, which sounds weird but works somehow. The aftertaste is healthier than I expected, more civilized once that initial battle calms down. Still a bit tighter than what I usually go for, with essential oil of thyme and wood extracts lingering. Honestly it's purer again on the second sip — might just be the cask to blame for some of that intensity. 🥃

Lovely cosy dram 🥃 I get warm honey, vanilla, a bit of orange peel, then gentle oak and soft spice. There’s a wee smoky touch too, but nothing too heavy. Feels smooth, comfy, and a little bit sweet — proper nice for a quiet evening.
