Poured a cheeky wee dram tonight and it’s a bit of a mad one mate 🥃 On the nose it's very peaty but somehow fresher, sort of like a splash of crisp white wine mixed with a very pretty lemon note. Loads of lemony aromas and sharp lemon juice coming through, along with damp oyster shells and a touch of lanolin. Taking a sip, it’s quite harsh at first and feels tighter on the tongue. Definitly getting more wood extracts now, probably the cask to blame for that bite! It kicks off with much more pepper, camphor, and eucalyptus. Then it gets proper weird but brilliant—there's this hit of essential oil of thyme, horseradish, and Mustard. Yeah, still about mustard as it opens up, which sounds mental but actually works 🌿 It’s basically a duel with blunted foils in the mouth, fighting between that wild coastal kick and something more civilized. Give it a few minutes in the glass and it gets purer again. The finish is very long, and honestly the aftertaste is healthier feeling than that bold start. Cracking pour for a damp evening init 🌧️

First sip, very peaty – hits hard with much more pepper than expected. Like a duel with blunted foils, intense but fair. I get white wine and lanolin on the nose, with essential oil of thyme peeking through. 🌿 The taste is still about mustard, lemony horseradish, but fresher somehow, like green apple liqueur notes. There's eucalyptus and camphor too, making it feel more civilized. 😌 Wood extracts linger, nice and warm.

First sip hits hard, like horseradish and much more pepper fighting it out on the tongue. Definitely a duel with blunted foils, you know? Then it settles. There's this essential oil of thyme and green apple liqueur vibe that comes through, feels fresher, almost like eucalyptus or white wine. Still a battle at first, quite harsh. But then it gets purer again. The aftertaste is healthier, very long. Maybe the cask to blame for some of the rough start? It's very peaty underneath, with oyster shells and that very pretty lemon. Now it's more civilized. A little camphor and lemon juice linger. 🥃

Just had a sip and whoa, that's quite a ride. First hit is really peaty, almost like a bonfire in the mouth. Then comes this surprising lemony zing, kinda like squeezed lemon juice over… wait, is that horseradish? A bit of a mustardy kick too, which makes my nose tingle. Definitely get some green apple liqueur sweetness hiding underneath all that smoke. The aftertaste is healthier feeling, very long, and turns into this weird camphor-eucalyptus thing, almost medicinal but in a good way. It's like a battle between fire and freshness in there. The cask must be to blame for so much wood extracts. Little bits of lanolin and thyme oil pop up later. Still a battle to pin down all the flavours, but purer again in the finish. 🤔🥃

Quite cosy, this one. Bit of honey, soft oak, and a wee peppery tingle 🥃 Feels warm and easygoing, like a rainy evening dram. Nice little finnish too.
