Blimey, this one hits you with a proper punch despite being so old. Really hot going down, but then it just coats your mouth completely – like syrup. You get that rich dark chocolate straight away, mixed with roasted nuts and something like smoked ham? It’s bold, but not a clumsy sherry bomb at all. Thicker than a gravy with onions. Then comes a bit of bitter caramel, dark toffee… and a flash of apricot jam. Feels nourishing. A bit of soy sauce at the end, maybe? And fresher herbs pop up. 🤔 After a while, you’re left with this drier finish, coffee notes… and a tiny hint of fresh mint. Extraordinarily coating, that’s for sure. Wine sauce vibes linger. Perfect nightcap. 👌

Wow, first sip is so rich and creamy, almost like liqueur. Immediately think of dark toffee and bold coffee notes... really warming despite being so old. Then some fresher herbs come through, maybe fresh mint and something like lemon balm? There's a subtle smokiness too, whiffs of smoke and tar, but not heavy. It keeps changing. The more I sip, the more I get these savory hints – cooked mushrooms, a bit of garlic, even something like oxtail soup or wine sauce. It feels nourishing, like proper comfort food. Toward the end, it gets a bit drier, more tannic, with a touch of bitter caramel. Very bold and complex, almost reminds me of a very old white wine or a not-clumsy oloroso sherry. Lasting finish, really hot on the way down. Perfect for a cold evening. 🔥

Ah right, had a crack at this one. 🥃 First sip, got this quite... honey-like sweetness? A bit like sipping on some melted sugar. Then there's a wee bit of warmth coming through, not burnin' hot, just a nice glow. Smells like... apples maybe? Or some kind of fruit, left in the sun. Aye, a bit of that. After it sits, get a hint of somethin' like wood shavin's from a workshop. The finish is nice, not too long. Leaves you with a kinda dry, slightly spicy feel. Quite nice actually, goes down a treat on a chilly evenin'. 👍 Not too strong on the peat, mind. More of a gentle, sweet thing. Could have another. 🍎🍯
