喝起来感觉还很年轻,带点柠檬的清香,有点像那些 straight peaters 的风格。泥煤味超重,焦油感十足,舔烟灰缸似的,余味很长但一开始特别干。能尝到新鲜杏仁膏的味道,海风味很突出,咸咸的 briny 感。整体结构有点紧,不如老桶复杂,鞋油味明显,让我想起擦亮的皮鞋。威士忌毕竟不是葡萄酒,这个角度可能不是它最棒的地方。😊

Wow, this one hits you with a bright, citrusy wham right off – loads of grapefruit skins and lemon zest, but then there’s this underlying oily, almost industrial thing. Got a bit of varnish and serious shoe polish going on, which sounds weird but kinda works. 😅 The peat is proper briny and tarry, like licking an ashtray by the sea. It’s got that classic Port-Elleny coastal thing – seawater, oysters, the works. The mouthfeel is a wee tad simple and tight, but it opens up with fresh marzipan and almond oil as it sits. Dry as anything to start, with a long, smoky finish that’s more pepper and ash. Not the most complex dram, but it’s got that rare, punchy old-cask style I love. Proper stuff for a cold night. ✨

Wow, an epic micro-bottling! 🥃 The colour is light gold, really inviting. On the nose, it’s briny and smoky right off the bat – like sea air and oysters, then serious amounts of shoe polish and a tarry peatiness hit you. There’s touches of glue and varnish in there too, quite a straight peater for sure. The palate is young, still young, and a wee tad simple compared to those brightest old casks. It’s loaded with grapefruits and lemony zest, with that sauvignony side showing. A bit fatter and fruitier than expected though. You get that tarry, port-elleny peatiness, briny like seawater, and even a bit of fresh marzipan and almond oil. Wham, a tincture of iodine comes through. It’s less complex, rather tight, and straighter in style. The finish has pepper and keeps that Licking ashtrays vibe. Not this baby’s best angle maybe, but it’s awesome in its own raw, freshest way.

Blimey, this one's got serious shoe polish and tar right up front, like licking an ashtray. Very dry at first, that classic tarry peatiness smacks you right in the gob. But then it opens up. There's this brilliant briny note, and suddenly you get hit with a wham of bright grapefruit skins and lemony freshness, almost like a twist of varnish but in a good way. It's got that rare, epic quality some old casks have. For a moment I thought it was a wee tad simple, but no, there's a lovely almond oil note underneath, and it's loaded with that sharp, freshest grapefruit character. The finish is long and rather tight, straighter than you'd expect. Still feels a bit young, but that's not this baby's best angle, is it? Epic stuff overall. 👍

Just cracked open this wee micro-bottling... wow, didn't expect that at all 🤯 First thing that hits me is this briny and smoky character — like standing on a dock with seawater splashing around. Really brings back memories of fresh oysters by the coast. The tarry peatiness is proper intense, almost like licking ashtrays but in the best way possible lol It's definitely still young and you can tell — very dry at first, rather tight on the palate, and a wee tad simple compared to the brightest old casks I've tried. But then... wham! Loads of grapefruits come through, and there's this fresh marzipan sweetness that balances things out nicely. The finish is epic and long, with serious amounts of shoe polish and varnish notes hanging around. There's something extremely different about the tarry, Port-Elleny style peatiness here — straighter and more briny than usual. The freshest expression I've had in ages tbh. Less complex than the style of the 1982s sure, but honestly? It's awesome in its own way. Still has that raw energy that makes you go back for more 🥃
