Poured a cheeky dram of this tonight and holy smokes! 🥃 It’s a beautiful full gold colur in the glass. Straight away you get early grey in abundance and a proper smoked tea vibe. It really reminds me of that old official 30 only with more power. Sitting here nosing it makes me think of dusty old books and cigarettes, Camel the doctors preferred or was it Luck Strike? Taking a sip and ho and oh! It kicks off with salted water and lemons squeezed over smoked fish, maybe just a touch of olive oil in there. But then it gets surprisingly sweet with juicyfruit and fresh bananas 🍌 It's honestly like baking warm pies, a proper sweet banana pie! The fresh bourbon wood works brilliantly here. It feels like the American oak having literally absorbed any excessive smoke and ashes. What's left behind is this lovely vanilla fudge and almond milk creaminess, giving me major flashes of a young agricole rum. It finishes fairly long with a nice lingering hit of salt at the end. Just a quick tip mate, do not add too much water, it really doesn't need it at all. Bloody cracking stuff.

Holy smokes! Ho and oh… 这杯太有意思了 😄

Oh, this is a proper old-school sipper, innit. 🥃 First thing I get is this beautiful, really beautiful nose – like sticking your head into an old leather trunk full of dried herbs and heathery peat. There's smoked tea and sandalwood, with just a little putty and resinous wood. Takes me right back to that perfect age of whisky. The texture is wonderfully oily and silky soft. First sip is like a peated pina colada, honestly – there's mango, coconut, and touches of grapefruit and pineapple, all wrapped up in this gentle, oily peat smoke. But then it shifts! Gets more herbal and peppery, with camphor and myrtle coming through. There's seawater and preserved lemons, maybe a stray kumquat. The peat smoke gets a bit smokier, more tarry, but never harsh – it's all held in that superb concentration. The finish is just… long. Really long. You get the dried herbs and hessian again, that natural tar, and some slightly bitter fruits. Left with this warm, heathery glow and a lingering, gentle smokiness. Totally gorgeous.

Wow, this one's interesting. First thing that hits me is this sort of smoked tea vibe, almost like lapsang souchong but not quite. There's definitely something fishy going on — smoked fish, maybe a bit of scallop — reminds me of that scallops terrine I had once with riesling and squid ink, weirdly specific but there it is. Getting loads of Earl Grey too, proper Earl Grey in abundance, and then this lovely vanilla fudge sweetness creeps in. There's almond milk, a touch of olive oil texture, and honestly some banana and plantain notes sneaking around at the back. The smoke's been tamed by the American oak I reckon, so it's not overwhelming. Still picking up hints of cigarettes — not in a bad way mind you, just that old pub sort of smokiness. Some putty and fresh bourbon wood too, maybe a bit of young agricole rum character which is quite fun. A little salt, some salted water minerality, and clams? Bizarre but I'm into it. Mint comes through here and there, and there's something juicyfruit about it all, like bubblegum almost. Colour-wise it's a proper full gold. Fairly long finish, lingering salt and smoke. Honestly I'd say don't add too much water — maybe just a drop if anything. 🥃 Ho and oh indeed. Holy smokes!

Just had a dram that was quite the journey. Started with a gorgeous nose – really beautiful, with dried coastal flowers and that classic, clean kiln air. There’s a lovely, silky soft peat smoke that comes through, not too aggressive. On the palate, it’s got this superb concentration. You get those oily textures straight away, then comes the fruit – touches of mango and some crystallised exotic fruits, almost like a fancy tropical fruit tea. It’s definitely more on the smokier, peatier side, but it’s so well integrated with the fruit. The profile feels so pristine and perfectly aged. There’s a hint of sandalwood and maybe some preserved lemons in there, giving it a slightly bitter edge that works beautifully. The finish is incredibly long, leaving you with that lovely tarry, heathery note and a whisper of grapefruit. Absolutely stunning stuff. 😋
