Just tried this whisky, and it's thrilling! 😊 The nose hits with grapefruit juice and barley, plus a touch of limestone – so mineral, almost like brine. On the palate, it's immensely mineral with clay and a lemony herbal kick, fennel and aniseed coming through. I'm getting raw wool and straw vibes, very natural. There's a hint of Jamaica rum territories, smoked olives adding depth. The finish is very long, with tea and tobacco notes, and a fatness that's grand cru stuff. Admirably chiselled and very strong – impossible not to love. 🥃

Just had a sip, and it's like a burst of grapefruit juice and lemon right off the bat – really zesty! It dives into these rum territories with a fatness that feels rich, almost waxy. The barley is stupendously present, intensely mineral, like clay or smoked straw. There's a medicinal hint, a bit like old cough medicine, but it's elegant and natural. Fennel and aniseed come through, with brine and green olive notes that make you think of Jamaica or Picholines. It's very strong, thrillingly so, with a raw wool texture and admirably chiselled structure. Definitely benchmark stuff – makes you miaow with joy. Perfect for a lazy evening. 😊

Lovely cosy dram 🥃 I get soft honey, dried fruit, a bit of oak and gentle spice. Feels warm and mellow, with a slightly creamy, malty finish. Nice for a quiet evening, not too fussy.

Proper lovely drop, this. Nose is all peat reek and a whiff of sea salt. First sip hits with that rich, oily smoke – campfire vibes 🔥 – then a wee burst of vanila and stewed orchard fruits. Bit of a spicy tingle mid-palate, like cracked pepper, then it mellows into toffee and oak. Finish is long and warming, leaves yer chest all cosy. 👌 Definately one for a dreich evening. 🥃

Right then, poured myself a dram. Nose: 🍯 Marmalade and a bit of old leather, like a dusty library. Palate: Zesty! Orange peel right off, then it gets all creamy, like vanilla custard. A little kick of ginger at the back. Finish: Long and warming, with a lingering taste of dark chocolate and a bit of toasted oak. Quite moreish, that. Proper good, this.
