Right, so this one's got that lovely pale gold colour in the glass. First impression is a whiff of overripe apples and those tart gooseberries – very summery, that. Then there's this softer, floral thing, like acacia honey and a touch of Earl Grey tea swirling around. The taste follows through quite nicely. It's firm but not heavy, really. I get that slight oaky note from the American oak, just a tiny bit, mixing with citrus and a hint of quince and plum jam. The finish brings back a gentle liquorice wood sort of sweetness. Honestly, it just feels wonderfully put together. Floral yet firm, if that makes sense. A proper gold-medal dram for a quiet evening. 👍

Gosh, this is quite the sipper, isn't it? The first thing that hits me is this wonderfully fragrant, almost floral yet firm bouquet - like walking past a meadow in late summer. Very perfumed, but not soft. I get loads of stewed quinces and yellow mirabelles, almost like a fancy fruit compote on warm toast. There's a lovely butterscotch sweetness right in the middle, really well integrated with this surprising liquorice wood note that lingers. It's quite powerful stuff, but excellently balanced, you know? Reminds me a bit of a good Meursault wine, actually. Rich, citrusy, with that meadows honey gloss. Just a tiny tad oaky on the finish, but in a good way, adding structure. The aftertaste is rather long, with all those wonderful floralness still hanging around. A proper winter warmer. 😊

Poured a lovely gold. The nose just leaps out – all overripe apples, quinces, and this honeyed nectar thing, like a glass of mead drizzled over warm biscuits. There’s a proper crumble of speculoos in there too. Wonderful floralness coming through; dandelions and pansies, a whisper of beeswax, then an early grey tea note with a soft liquorice edge. Very fragrant. At 46% it’s excellently balanced. A tiny tad oaky on the sip, butterscotch sweetness wraps round a bit of liquorice wood, and the orchard fruits hang around long after. Just a beauty. 😌🌼

Right, that’s a lovely wee sip, innit? Nose is all honey’d orchard fruit 🍏 but wi’ a drift of peat smoke curling round the back, like an old kiln. Not overpowerin, just gentle. Taste is surprisingly smooth—oaky vanilla, a wee bit of spice that warms the chest 🌶️, and a touch of salted caramel. Feels like a slow, cosy evening by the fire. Finish lingers soft, wisp of smoke and a sweet, biscuity note. Proper moreish. Could sit wi’ this all night.
