Just poured a dram of this pale gold liquid. 🍯 The nose immediately hits with wonderful floralness – dandelions, pansies, a touch of beeswax. Beneath that, there's acacia honey and soft butterscotch. Sipping at 46%, it’s floral yet firm. I get those overripe gooseberries and quinces, like a summer afternoon, with a citrus streak. Then some biscuits and a tiny tad oaky, almost like Meursaulty wine. The finish is rather long, with mirabelles and a hint of early grey and soft liquorice wood. A proper, charming whisky. 😉 Makes you think of gold sunshine in a glass. Quite the find.
