Oh wow, this one’s got a real autumnal vibe going on. Like... autumn leaves and damp earth, with this really powerful wave of good caramel and walnuts right at the front. There’s a hint of bitter oranges too, which is nice. It’s just got this exceptional depth. Feels almost like a blend of Spanish brandy and Demerara rum, you know? Really warming. The colour’s a beautiful deep amber. On the nose, I’m getting autumny scents and a bit of sooty, good struck matches – like incense sticks burning. And is that... mushrooms? A bit leathery too. The palate is amazing how it swims around. More raisins now, and walnuts again, with that long, satisfying finish that lingers. It’s got the weight of armagnac at cask strength, for sure. A proper Gascon malt whisky territory vibe. Really excellent stuff. 👍

Right, poured a dram of this last night and crikey, it's like walking into a damp old chapel with incense hanging in the air. First sip hits with this amazing, really powerful blend – got notes of ginger and struck matches, then it just swims out into these autumny scents, you know? 🍂 Honestly, it's so nutty, like cracking walnuts by a fireplace. But then there's this sweet pipe tobacco and good caramel coming through, reminds me a bit of visiting a Balinese temple – pot-pourri and mushrooms in the earth after rain. There's bitter oranges and prunes in there too, maybe a hint of Demerara rum. It gets a bit spicier as it goes, like armagnac at cask strength, but darker, sooty even. That umami-esque thing is interesting, almost like pecan pie left in a autumn leaf pile. The finish is long and very armagnacky, sticking around forever. Really excellent stuff, oh-so uncommercial in the best way. 👍

Right, so I poured myself a dram, not knowing what to expect... and blimey. 🤯 First off, it's like walking into an old, damp stone cellar. That earthy, autumn leaf smell hits you straight away. Then it opens up into this incredibly rich, dark fruitcake thing – loads of prunes, raisins, and these bitter orange bits. But it's the nuts that get me. It's not just walnuts; it's like a toasted pecan pie filling, right out of the oven. The whole thing feels... sooty. Like a bonfire in the distance, wrapped up in sweet pipe tobacco and old leather. There's this ginger kick that comes through, a bit spicier than I'd normally go for, but it works. What really stops me in my tracks is this odd, umami-esque note. Almost savoury, like... visiting a Balinese temple? All that incense and good struck matches. It's so uncommercial, so different. It really reminds me of a very good, full-bodied Armagnac at cask strength. It's exceptional. And it just swims on the palate forever. 👏

Quite cosy, this one 🥃 Bit of vanilla and caramel, some dried fruit, then a gentle oak spice. Feels warm and mellow, with a wee smoky edge at the end. Nice sipper for a quiet night.

Warm and smoky, with a bit of honeyed sweetness and some soft oak. Feels cosy rather than fancy — nice wee dram for a chilly evening 🥃 A little spice hangs about at the end, quite comforting.
