Right then, give it a proper sniff first... 🥃 Getting lots of autumn orchard fruit. Stewed apples, maybe a touch of pear. Then there's this lovely warm vanilla pod and a bit of caramel. Really inviting. On the palate... oh, that's nice. It's got a bit of a kick at first, like black pepper, but then it smooths right out. There's more of that vanilla, some gentle spice - cinnamon, perhaps? And a hint of dark chocolate or leather right at the back. Quite a moorey finish that lingers. It's one of those whiskies that tastes like it smells. Proper nice for a rainy afternoon, feels like a hug in a glass. 👍 The mouthfeel is creamy, too. Not a hint of harshness. Really spot on. 🍂
