Right then, poured myself a wee dram for the evening 🥃 First thing I get is this lovely hint of white wine, almost like a dry Riesling. Then there's a gentle waxiness, you know, the pleasant kind that coats your mouth. It all feels really nice and integrated. It's got this malty backbone, quite fruity too - reminds me of muesli with some dried orange peel. And a touch of grapefruit juice for freshness, mind you. Just a little more citrus would be perfect, but it's nice as is. The texture is properly pleasant, that fatness just sits so well on the tongue. Found some notes of fresh brioche, maybe a bit near-yeasty. There's a tiny hint of something burnt, like from a Signatory bottling, but not the malt itself. Ooh, now I'm getting oranges and honey mixing together. And right at the end, a wee whisper of coffee-schnapps and more vanilla coming through. Swims well in the glass, no doubt. All in all, quite a fine drop for a midweek pour 😊
