First sip hits you right away – that classic Clynelish character. Waxy and rich, like almond crème brûlée with a surprising zing of lemons underneath. Hard to beat that texture. Then it opens up – get these lovely apple peelings and citrus zests floating around. There's a chalky, almost putty-like mineral edge that keeps it grounded. Lovely stuff. A hint of damp clay and humus creeps in later, earthy and intriguing. Finishes with a whisper of smokier ink and clay notes, quite long on the palate. Gorgeous gold colour in the glass – just stunningly lovely overall. Fab drop for a quiet evening 🥃

Oh, this one's proper interesting. First sip you get these apple peelings, tart and fresh. Then it goes all waxy, like a beeswax candle or somefing. There's this fatter, clayey thing in the middle - damp clay, even a bit of putty. Delightfully weird. A faint touch of bleach? Maybe, but it's gone in a flash. The wax and clay just keep coming, "wham wax bang clay!" indeed. It's smokier than I expected, a lovely background hum. Superb stuff. The 1997 vintage gives it this deliciously unmodern feel. It's fab, hard to beat, really. Stunningly lovely finish that hangs around. Easy to find? Maybe not, but worth the hunt. 😉

Warm and cosy, with a soft sweet smell — bit of honey, dried fruit and gentle spice 🥃 Feels smooth, slightly oaky, and there’s a wee smoky touch at the end. Quite easy to sit with on a quiet evening.

Just tried this whisky, and it's proper lush, init? 🥃 The nose gives me honey and a bit of wood, like old oak. Taste is smooth with a hint of spice, maybe cinnamon. 😋 Finish is long and warm, leavin' a cozy glow. Bit of smoke creeps in too, nice one! 👌

Blimey, this one's got a proper smoky start, like a cozy fireplace. 🥃 Then it mellows out with soem honey sweetness, almost floral. Quite smooth, but with a bit of spice that lingers. Reminds me of autumn walks, ye know? 😊 A touch of oak and vanilla, very comforting. Perfect for a quiet evening in.
