Really lovely dram, this one. Very fresh with loads of pink grapefruits on the nose - got that herbal/citrusy thing going on that just works a treat 🍋 Then it opens up into something quite fruity, almost like tarte tatin with honey cake. Bags of dried dates coming through too. There's this rather cognac-like quality to it, reminds me of old Sauternes honestly - more so than any Sauternes-finished whisky I've tried. Quite long on the finish with a bit of pipe tobacco creeping in. The colour's a gorgeous gold and honestly it's just impeccable. Dangerously drinkable! 😅 Picked up some of Lindt's creamiest chocolate on the later sips too - proper indulgent stuff. Top notch, this.
