Just tried this one – quite a fascinating dram, really.
First thing that hit me was this lovely lemony tartness, almost like fresh lemons with a hint of salt. Got a bit of grass and olive brine in there too, which is... intriguing, to say the least.
Then there's this gentle sherry feeling, not too heavy, weaving through some subtle peat smoke – sort of reminds me of Ardmore's lighter side. A touch medicinal, maybe? But in a good, old-school way.
And honestly, it’s got that sort of depth you’d expect from something around 30 yo. Slightly chalky finish. Can’t help but think it feels quite special, a real treat – even if the price tag on these bottles is, well, eye-watering. 😅
Very good stuff, though. Really enjoyed it.
