Right then, had a proper sip just now. 🥃
First thing I get is a rush of ripe, stodgy fruit, like baked apples and a bit of bruised pear. There's a lovely hit of spice, cinnamon maybe, and a smidge of dark honey.
Then the woodiness and a wee bit of smoke come through, but it's all very gentle, not a bonfire in your mouth. It’s more like toasted oak.
Finish is warm and looong, with that spiciness lingering. Just coats the tongue in the best way.
Overall, a right proper lovely dram. Smooth and complex. Got me feeling all warm inside. 👍
