Right, here goes… Popped the cork on this one and blimey, straight away it’s like a herb garden gone a bit wild 🌿. Not your polite kitchen herbs either – proper Scottish pesto vibes, all crushed pine nuts, fresh parsley, a whiff of angelica, and something almost coriander-like buzzing about. There’s this waxy, almost paraffin-y coat on the tongue, really reminiscent of Clynelish, but with a Glentauchers twist – a bit more brutal, in a good way. Hints of pine needles, crushed straw, wet mosses, and then this lovely lemony lift. Fresh ginger prickle, some thyme hiding in the background. The oils… argan, definitely, makes the whole thing feel almost nutty to the point of being exceptionally nutty, though not that easy to tame at first. Gets peppery mid-palate, and then weirdly, mushrooms and a touch of ginseng (really). Some barrel influence, but it’s all about these green, pine-y, oily layers. A bit of a wild dram, but a proper winner.

Lovely warm sip 🥃 Bit of honey, dried fruit and gentle spice, with a soft oaky feel. Finishes cosy, slightly peppery, and quite moreish tbh.

Quite cosy on the nose — a bit of honey, dried fruit and gentle spice. Feels smooth, warming, with a wee oaky kick at the end 🥃 Nice for a slow evening, not too fussy.

Cracked this open and the nose is all stewed pears an’ a whiff of heather honey 🍯. First sip hits wi’ a proper wave of oily peat smoke, but not the harsh kind—more like driftwood bonfire embers 🔥. Mid-palate goes all custardy, vanilla fudge, then a surprisin’ burst of lemon zest 🍋. Finish is where it gets interestin’… long, salty caramel, a bit of cracked black pepper, and this faint herbal tinge that reminds me of walkin’ through a greenhouse. Gorgeous, smoth warmth that lingers.

Right then, a good sip. Starts off with a bit of smoky char from the wood, then some lovely sweet vanilla and honey comes through. 🍯 Quite a gentle warmth, not harsh at all. The finish is long and a bit spicy. Quite a nice dram. 🥃
