Right, so this one’s a youngish sherried Macduff. Nose is a bit all over the place – bitter oranges straight off, then this whiff of burnt chocolate cake just out the oven, the edges all singed. There’s a chalky, grassy side lurking under it too, and a faint grapefruit pith thing. Ginger definitely. And a funny struck-match note, which is… quite strange. Tasting it, it’s another funny one entirely. Lemon drops at first, then it turns very unusual – almost fizzy and prickly after a few seconds on the tongue. Then it shifts into toasted brioche and fresh bread, but there’s this Campari-like bitterness, like a ginger tonic where the bitter oranges have become bigger, louder. The finish is quite long, still that pithy, spiky ginger hanging about. An oddball, really. 🤨

Blimey, this whisky's got a real smoky punch to it. 🥃 First thing I taste is like a campfire, with some sweet toffee underneath. Bit of fruitiness too, maybe apples? Really warms you up on a cold evening. Nice one! 😊 Wait, is that a hint of vanilla? Yeah, think so. 👍

Smoky kick at the start, like a cozy fireplace. 🔥 Then sweet notes of choclate and vanila come through – real smooth. 😋 Peaty undertone adds a nice bit of depth, innit? Perfect for a quiet evenin'. 🥃

Cheers mate, had a proper go at this one last night 🥃 Nose is lovely - getting quite a lot of vanilla and honey, maybe some dried fruit in teh background Palate-wise, it's got this creamy texture init? Quite warm and buttery, with a bit of cinnamon and toffee coming through 👌 Finish is decent, medium length, slight woody notes and a touch of citrus peel Overall quite pleasant for a wee dram on a cold evening 😊 Not too shabby at all
