This one's got a bit of everything, hasn't it? Started off thinking the oak was gonna take the wheel, but no – the spirit itself still peeks through. Getting these weird notes of camphor balm and old embrocations, like finding grandad's medicine chest in a dusty attic. Then it shifts – suddenly there's this savoury green thing going on, almost like pan-fried French beans and a bit of green pepper. And is that... puréed chestnuts? Oddly comforting. The wood shavings and pine needles come through next, very forest-floor. Almost makes you think of a proper "Conservatory score" with all the plants and damp wood. There's a touch of tar liqueur and that old rusty tin box at the back, which I kind of love? 🤔 Finishes with strong teas and a bit of bitter zests, pretty long and a little drying. Not your typical dram – it's all over the shop in a good way, that "funny baby" note from earlier still makes me smile. 😄
