Poured a glass of this and it’s quite tight to start with. Takes me right to a cosy morning with warm porridge, cream cheese, and sourdough. Then the smoke hits—proper coal dust, herbal dust, and dry herbs and fern. It's a plain peater but feels like the hogshead had been ex-something seriously peaty and left un-rinsed-out. Honestly feels like I'm almost on Islay. Underneath, there’s this rich cocoa sweetness, very chocolaty, sort of like L'Espérantine de Marseille. And then that lovely lemony finish that lingers for a long time. Brilliant stuff. 🥃
