Right, poured this one neat. Pale gold in the glass, looks decent. Nose is interesting... get some apple pie wetted with some cider right off, then a whiff of something floral, like hot chamomile tea. There's a buttery touch, almost like crème au beurre, but then a bit of a metallic and sour note comes through. Odd but not bad. Taste... rather peppery kick at first! Then some mangos and that young kirsch fruitiness, a bit lively. The characterful distillate is there, feels a bit mature, maybe like a good stout. And those casks... they leave good, interesting casks notes behind, some buttery stuff too. Finishes with a bit of that sour tang again. Honestly, not the easiest to assess at first sip. Definitely makes you scratch your head a bit. 🤔 But it's engaging, I'll give it that.

Oh, poured a dram of this one. Pale gold in the glass, looks light. Smells like whiffs of hot chamomile tea, a bit floral and calming. First sip, there's a youthful, almost kirsch-like sourness with a metallic edge. Interesting. Then it moves to a crème au beurre kind of feel... buttery touches make it smooth and a bit sweet. Quite a characterful distillate, feels alive. Could be just a tad fatter in the mouthfeel, but the finish is pretty long. Leaves a pleasant warmth. 😊 Not bad for a casual evening sip.
