Just had a sip of this whisky this evening. The colour’s a pale gold, which looks lovely in the glass. On the nose, I’m getting aniseed and cinnamon powder – like a hint of orange cake or maybe some herbal teas, Earl grey comes to mind. There’s a touch of mint and honeydew, with a bit of fruit jams and orange peel. It’s not excessively drying, which I like. When I take a sip, it sticks a bit my tongue onto your palate, rather spicy with cloves and liquorice. The woody whisky notes come through, with resinous vibes and a hint of old wine cellar. It’s got a freshness at such old age, which is nice. The finish isn’t very long, but I get light honey and plum pie, with a bit of liquorice wood. No aromatic bomb, but it’s enjoyable. 🥃

pale gold in the glass, first thing I noticed. reminds me of an afternoon tea with grandma – there's that plum pie and orange cake sweetness, but then it gets all herbal, like sipping a good cuppa Earl grey or a gentle herbal tea. a bit woody too, with some cinnamon powder and a touch of clove spiciness. not a powerhouse, more subtle. the finish is kinda short, not very long, and leaves this light honey and orange peel note on the tongue. interesting how it feels both old and fresh, you know? like an old wine cellar but with a minty freshness. it does stick to the palate a bit, and I get this old Chartreuse vibe with the aniseed and liquorice wood. pleasant, not too dry. good for a relaxed evening. 🥃

Pale gold colour in the glass, smells like light honey and a bit of aniseed. Sips rather spicy, sort of sticks a bit your tongue onto your palate. Get some orange peel and cloves at first, then reminds me of orange cake. Later on, honeydew and a nice woody whisky note come through. Finish is like herbal teas with a touch of mint. Hints of old wine cellar there too. A dash of cinnamon and Earl grey tea, maybe some liquorice wood. Ends with a lovely plum pie aftertaste. Quite warming. 😊

Poured a dram just now – the colour's a lovely pale gold, like sunlight through apple juice. First sip kinda sticks to the roof of my mouth, a bit syrupy. Reminds me of old herbal teas, maybe with some dried orange peel tossed in. There's liquorice wood in there, and a faint sweetness like plum pie filling. It's surprisingly fresh for something that feels old, almost like wandering into a dusty wine cellar where someone's left spiced fruit jams open. Hints of cloves and mint pop up, that classic Chartreuse vibe. The spiciness is rather bold, with aniseed lingering after. The finish isn't very long, just fades gently like a memory. Quite a unique one tonight. 🥃

First sip, quite light — almost like drizzling light honey over a warm orange cake. There’s a gentle liquorice wood thing going on, not too sweet, and a surprising hint of old-style Chartreuse right in the middle. Hmm, and then some mint? Really? At this age, I’d expect something heavier, but no — it stays fresh, like a cool breeze through the glass. A bit of fruit jam sweetness peeks in, but don’t worry, it’s not jammy- overwhelming. Oh, there’s a rather spicy kick later — cinnamon, a dash of aniseed, maybe even a touch of resinous notes. Not an aromatic bomb at all, just quietly layered, like sipping herbal teas by a woody fireplace. Finishes with honeydew and cinnamon powder, softly fading. Quite the gentle dram, really 😊
