Right, so poured myself a dram of this. Looks pale gold in the glass. First sip hits you – it’s proper powerful, you know? Immediately get this sort of porridge thing, like breakfast oats but with a tang of seawater mixed in. There’s a weird, fantastic waxiness to it, superbly waxy, really coats the mouth. Then I’m thinking, is that shoe polish? Or maybe something from a toolbox, like new rubber hoses. But wait, there’s also these delicate yellow flowers and crushed green herbs popping through. It’s on the line between mechanical and rustic, like smelling flowers in a garage. The fatness and richness is unreal, chewy even. Some oily mineral thing, maybe white stone or clay. A bit of that distinctive west highland accent comes through. Finish has good length, turns into something ointment-like, almost medical stuff. Wildly challenging but I can’t stop sniffing the glass. It’s like drinking filtered sheep wool.

Pouring this, it’s a pale gold that catches the light nicely. 😊 First smell, I get this waxy, mineral thing… like a vase of white stone flowers, maybe some vase water. Then there’s a seaside tang, really reminds me of that briny, salty air filtered through old sheep wool. Very West Highland. Sipping it, wow, it’s powerful. Oily and chewy, like a porridge laced with sea salt and honey. There’s a punchy olive oil quality, with a distillate-derived fatness. I find some exotic fruit hints playing with highly mineral notes. After a moment, I get flashes of fresh grass and a little something medicinal, like an ointment from the garage. The finish is long, oily, and mineral, leaving you with that chewy, clay-like memory. Quite an experience.

Warm and cosy, like honey on toast by the fire 🥃 Bit of vanilla, soft spice, and a wee hint of oak. Goes down smooth, with a gentle smoky finish. Proper nice for a quiet evening.

Warm and cosy dram 🥃 I get soft honey, a bit of oak, gentle spice, and a wee fruity sweetness. Finishes smooth, slightly dry, with a nice warming feel. Quite easy to sip.
