Honestly wasn't expecting much from this one at first — the spirit's not the most expressive in the world, bit quiet on the nose really. But then you get these lovely gooseberries and lemons coming through, quite tart and fresh. The bourbon wood gives it a nice roundness that balances things out. Bit of cardamom, some natural vanilla sneaking in. There's this chalky, clay-like minerality underneath that I quite like. Had me thinking of a fresh young cognac at one point, and then suddenly a big slice of rhubarb tarte 😋. Some green pepper too, which was a nice surprise. Does get a bit angular towards the end, maybe that sour wood note — but honestly it's the kind of thing I always enjoy. Rather long finish that keeps you thinking. Not the loudest whisky in the room but it grows on you. Proper good surprises here 👍

There’s a lovely roundness from the wood, then all these fresh fruits pop up – lemons, kiwis, even some greengages again. Oh, and there’s a little kick of green pepper and spearmint that keeps it interesting. Then it shifts… get this chalky, almost clay-like mineral note, mixed with some tart rhubarb and a whisper of cardamom. The finish is long, with that sour wood edge balancing the sweetness. It’s like a huge rhubarb tart with a crisp, biscuity base. Really impeccable balance. A style I always enjoy – complex but so drinkable. Total good surprises with every sip. 😊

倒出来是淡金色的，看着挺清爽。闻起来有醋栗和猕猴桃那种微酸的果香，混着点新鲜薄荷和香茅草的味道，甚至让我想起祖母做的大黄挞 😋。 二十五年陈年但用的是有些害羞的重填木桶，所以不那么张扬。有些许黏土和粉笔的矿物感，但波本桶带来了很好的圆润度来平衡。 喝下去口感有点棱角，微微紧张，但随即是香草和青梅的甜香。收尾挺长，带点酸木和微甜的龙舌兰糖浆联想，整体风格我很喜欢。

Gosh, this one’s crisp and alive. First thing I get is a burst of green fruits – greengages, gooseberries, even a squeeze of lemon. There’s a lovely hint of lemongrass and spearmint in there too, really fresh. With water, it blossoms into something rounder, like a big slice of rhubarb tarte with a dollop of vanilla cream. That bourbon wood gives it a nice, smooth backing, a sort of friendly roundness underneath all that nervy energy. The finish is surprisingly long, with a tart, chalky note that reminds me of a good, sharp chenin blanc. It’s a dram with real character – not the loudest one in the world, but full of good surprises. That’s what I enjoy. 🍋🍑

Right, so poured a dram of this one — pale gold colour, caught the light nicely. First whiff was proper interesting: got this lemongrass and greengages thing, then some stone fruit, maybe peaches? And a bit of that rhubarb tartness lurking underneath. Taste-wise, it's got an interesting sort of angle to it — quite bright with lemons and gooseberries, almost a green pepper hint? But then there's this lovely roundness from the wood, softens it out. Touch of vanilla and something like cardamom or spearmint. Definitely some kiwi and a whisper of agave sweetness in there too. Finish hangs about for ages, keeps giving you little changes — clay notes, some sour wood, then back to that orchard fruit. Really enjoyable drop, full of good surprises. 👍
