Gave this one a go – deep gold in the glass, looking proper rich. Nose got hit with orange water and a bit of varnish, then curious notes of seawater came through, maybe a hint of eucalyptus. Took a sip, and it plays with your tongue, like concentrated lemon juice meets peach pie, but less lemony than you'd think. Strong salty notes up front, no peppery blast, though white pepper lingers. Feels tannic and hot, almost burning, not very traditional at all. Lots of cooked apricot and caramel crème in there, with quite some oak and hot butter. Finish is extremely long, with cinnamon and a touch of smoke, but very little. Really extreme, with lots of vivacity – not really typical, but very different. Enjoyed the journey! 😊

Not too spicy, really smooth start actually. There's quite a bit of oak coming through, but it plays nicely with more and more citrus notes as it opens up... honestly, loads of citrus. The wood influence feels stronger over time, a bit like varnish but in a good way. A little white pepper plays with your tongue, but nothing harsh. It's really extreme in a fun way – got this lovely milk chocolate thing, then a strong salty kick comes in. Less fresh fruit, more like cooked apricot and bitter caramel. Oh, it's hot! Like hot butter melting... reminds me of apple pie with vanilla crème, or maybe peach pie. Not very traditional, but interesting. Just a whisper of smoke in the back. The finish? Extremely long. That salty caramel and oak just hangs on. 🥃

Right then... first sip caught me off guard, a bit of that familiar peat but hardly any smoke at all. Instead, I got this weirdly hot, almost varnishy thing for a second, then suddenly – peach pie? Like actual baked fruit and pastry, mixed with apple pie too. Then it shifts, more and more citrusy orange water and lemon peel, with a flash of white pepper that really plays with your tongue. Not very Talisker-ish at all, honestly. There’s something curious, like a hint of seawater and strong salty notes fighting with vanilla crème and milk chocolate. Feels quite rough in texture, tannic and hot, but underneath there’s this lively vivacity. Cinnamon and oak show up towards the end, and the finish... mate, it’s extremely long. That creamy caramel and apple notes just hang around. Definitely not your average dram – it’s really extreme in how it changes. 🤔 Less fresh fruit, more like baked desserts now. Curiouser and curiouser...

Poured this deep gold dram, caught a whiff of something quite rough yet inviting — immediately thought of hot butter and varnish oddly blended. Took a sip and whew, it’s a citrus bomb straight away but lemon’s taken a back seat here, more like concentrated lemon juice meets orange water. Slight bitterness like burnt caramel crème on the tongue, with a tannic grip and that curious punch of white pepper and cinnamon. Not as peppery as some, but there’s definitely some heat building up, almost burning by the end. Oak is heavy here, really showing that wood influence, yet there’s this softness — almost like apple pie or peach pie filling with cooked apricot notes floating around. Touches of seawater and eucalyptus keep me guessing, while smoke is barely there, just a whisper. Finish? Extremely long, leaving a salty-sweet echo of milk chocolate and a faint chalky feel. Quite the different sip — lively, concentrated, and honestly a bit fierce at first, but it grows on you. 🥃
