Had a sip just now - so ultra-clean at first, almost like breathing in sea air. Actually reminded me of those briny oysters we'd get at the seaside as kids. There's a sweetness there too, like sneaking jelly babies from the tin 😄 The mouthfeel's rounder than I expected, kinda woolly in a nice way. Got this sudden flash of boy scouts around a campfire - barbecued marshmallows left on the straw a bit too long, maybe? Finishing medium length, gets a tad less profound towards the end. Cleaner than some I've tried recently. Oh and there's this classic chalk note I keep coming back to. More consensual than my usual picks, though slightly narrower in character. Left some ashes on the tongue...

This whisky's ultra-clean and rounder on the palate, with a classic chalky note that's surprisingly gentle. It reminds me of oysters and brine by the seawater, like a seaside stroll. Sweetness pops through with jelly babies and red ones, plus a hint of lemons and grapefruits for citrus zing. There's this hessian and wool texture, medium-bodied, with touches of green olives and barbecued marshmallows on ashes. Not too profound, but excellent for a cozy night in. Boy scouts campfire vibes, really. 😊 Narrower than some, but I find it charming.

Quite frankly, this one takes me right back to a beach bonfire. First, there's this lovely brine and seawater hit, like the air itself. Then a bit of woodsmoke and ashes drifts in, quite gentle really. 🌊 The palate is surprisingly citrussy – grapefruits and lemons – with a hint of green olives. It's ultra-clean, with a soft sweetness underneath. The finish? Barbecued marshmallows and that hessian sack note from the nose. An excellent one, really. 😉

Warm and a bit cosy 🥃 I get soft vanilla, gentle oak, a wee touch of smoke, and some sweet dried fruit. Finishes mellow, slightly spicy, quite moreish tbh.
