Whiskyspace Notes 1490

First sip is proper tropical – kiwis and pineapples dancing about, not too sweet, more like those fizzy jellybeans you'd get as a kid. There's a lovely vanilla cream note underneath that just holds it all together. Then it opens up, gets a bit more serious. Think tinned pineapple syrup, maybe some peach and grapefruit peel coming through. There's a good bit of zesty bubblegum in there too, which is fun. I get that apple peel, too – like when you're prepping a crumble and you've got the rather ripe apples all chopped up. It finishes with that "good natural varnish" note, which I reckon is the oak having its say. It does get a little louder at the end, but in a spectacular style, honestly. Really enjoyed that one. 🥃
