Pour a dram and it’s a lovely gold colour in the glass. Nosings it, I get fresh barley right away, then some fun fruits—like tangerines and something a bit like Campari-orange. The body’s good and full. Taking a sip, there’s a hit of Campari at cask strength, but softened by damp oatcakes and European oak. More of all that comes through, with a kick of ginger liqueur towards the end. Lingering finish, really long. 😊

Right, this one’s a bit different from the usual sherry-bomb style I go for. There’s a real herbal side to it, almost like that bitter orange peel you get in Campari. 🍊 The finish hangs around for ages, leaving you with this Campari-at-cask-strength vibe mixed with… wait, is that a hint of Thai red curry sauce? Strange, but kinda works. Funnily enough, the nose reminds me of damp oatcakes and fresh barley, with a gold-like shimmer of liqueur-filled chocolate peeking through. It’s got that young, almost porridge-like texture that makes me wonder if it was quite ready to be bottled yet. But hey, that’s the fun of it – a departure from the usual dried fruits and oak. Each sip is like uncovering tangerine peels and European oak spice. Cheers to trying something unexpected! 🥃

Just had a dram, and immediately there's bitter oranges – not the usual dried stuff, more like fresh tangerines and peels. It's got that Campari-orange thing, which is fun! 🥃 Herbal side comes through, with a hint of Thai red sauce spice. More of all that, and it feels gold, like proper quality. Good body, and at cask strength, it's Campari-esque. Finish is long, with ginger liqueur and liqueur-filled chocolate. I'm getting fresh figs, damp oatcakes, and fresh barley. European oak influence, and a porridge-like creaminess. Not too sure it was totally ready for bottling, but it's all fun fruits. That's fun! 😊

Poured a dram and it hit me straight away—porridge, but the fancy kind with honey drizzled over it. Then there’s this playful Thai red sauce note, almost like a sweet chilli glaze you’d get on ribs. Really fun twist. 🤭 Bitter oranges come through next, zesty like a Campari-orange mixer, cutting through the richness. There’s a liqueur-filled chocolate vibe too, dark and truffle-like. Body is proper solid—holds everything together nicely. Halfway through, fresh figs pop up with that jammy sweetness, alongside a ginger liqueur kick that warms things up. Finish has an unexpected herbal side, like crushed thyme or something. Leaves you with a faint gold glow. Quite the departure from the usual dried fruit bombs. 👍
