Oh, this one’s got a real kick of bitter almonds straight off the bat, like walking past a bakery in the morning. Then it opens up with this lovely white wine vibe, super crisp and dry. The minerality hits right after – think wet gravel after a summer rain, really fresh and earthy. There’s a nice orange peel note too, with a bit of tree bark bitterness that actually works quite well. 🍊 The grassy notes are all over this one, ultra-green like freshly cut lawn. It’s got that ‘fruity fruits’ thing going on, but not sweet – more like the peelings and stems, ya know? A bit of marzipan and liquorice from the oak sneaks in, which is a nice surprise. Finish brings some soot and leaves, a bit of that bitter walnut warmth. Honestly, it’s quite uncommon but in a good way – like finding a hidden gem. Would make a great filler in a blend too. 😊
