Right, so first thing I get is proper smokiness, like a cozy fireplace. Then it opens up with this lovely floral and citrusy orange peel note. The taste is wonderfully smooth, almost buttery, with hints of vanilla and a bit of cinnamon spice. There’s a nice, chewy dark chocolate and nutty quality in there too. As it sits, you get these deeper notes of old leather and a touch of tobacco leaf. A bit of black pepper and sea salt come through on the finish, which is long and warming. Overall, it’s a complex and cracking dram. Very satisfying. 👍🥃
