This whisky’s got a straw colour, and the nose hits with a dollop of honey and brewers’ yeast, kinda like a bakery with leaven and apple vinegar. It’s got hints of Madeira and fortified mead, even beer and liquorice in there. Tastes like walnuts and Burgundy, almost a very old riesling vibe – extremely good, with a mustardy touch. 😊

Oh mate, just poured a wee dram. This one’s proper interesting, you know? First sniff, it’s all warm bakery stuff, like fresh bread and that dollop of honey. Then it opens up, got this lovely sweet mustardy thing, almost like a fancy chouchen, and a touch of apple vinegar tang that just lifts it all. Taking a sip… wow. It’s got this wonderful dry structure, but then the fruitiness comes through. Reminds me of old Riesling or maybe a Madeira, with stewed figs and a bit of orange cordial. There’s a definite walnut wine nuttiness and a bit of straw in there too. The finish is long, really long. It just hangs around, all honey and a slightly fortified mead warmth. Leaves me in a damn good mood. 🙂

Wow, this dram is extremely good – it's got this rich, honeyed sweetness that's like a slice of wholegrain bread fresh from the bakery, with a whiff of baker's yeast. There's a sweet mustardy touch and hints of pepper liqueur that add a nice kick. I'm getting notes of figs and walnuts, maybe a dash of apple vinegar balancing it out. It's dry in structure but leaves you in such a good mood. Cheers to that! 😊

今晚开的这瓶,第一感觉是厚厚的蜂蜜甜,但很快有那种扎实的干型结构跟上来,挺有意思的。 让我想起以前在布列塔尼喝过的 chouchen,还有点像淡淡的苹果酒和那种老式核桃酒的混合。收尾居然有点非常陈年的雷司令感觉,微微的酸度托着,一点都不腻。 啊对了,有明显的烘焙感,就像刚出炉的全麦面包,夹着无花果干的香味。整体是比较丰腴的,让我联想到马德拉酒或者蜂蜜酒,但又多了点东西——一丝芥末籽的辛香和胡桃的油润。 真的,这蜂蜜味太正了,从头到尾都像一勺品质很好的蜂蜜化在酒里。隐约还有点面包酵母的活力,甚至一丝黑麦面包的酸种感。不晓得为什么,喝着就莫名想起 Deanston 那边田园里的干草垛。 最妙的是中间浮现的风味:蜜饯橙子、一点甘草,还有种难以言喻的、像香料利口酒般的温暖。整体非常愉悦,像喝了一小杯风味十足的蜂蜜酒,或者一点辣蜂蜜芥末酱的回味,让人心情不错 😊

嘿,这杯威士忌喝下去,第一感觉是sourdough的酸香,带着点啤酒的酵母味。还有pepper liqueur的辛辣,和sweet mustardy touch,挺有趣的。心情一下就好了,good mood!尝到dollop of honey的甜,bakery的香气,baker's yeast那种发酵感。结构wonderful dry structure,像wholegrain bread一样扎实。 让我想起Burgundy的红酒,right-o!味道rather rich,有fortified mead的醇厚,walnuts的坚果香,cider的清爽。figs的果干味,Madeira的陈年感,apple vinegar的微酸。回味时,walnut wine和chouchen的蜂蜜酒印象很深。very old riesling的复杂度,mustard的微辣,liquorice的甘草味,leaven的发酵感。回味long,真舒服。😄
