Poured myself a cheeky dram tonight and it’s a right interesting one 🥃 It starts rounded and honeyed, proper sweet with that heavy sherry influence... getting heaps of raisins and rounded figs straight away. The texture is brilliant, very fat in the mouth, almost giving off these weird metallic fats and damp clay vibes. Even a sniff of sourdough in there. Give it a minute and it shifts. You realy get the original distillate showing itself. It gets quite varnishy and becomes more acetic as it sits in the glass. It’s a tight acetic sharpness, but in a good way. Then out of nowhere there's mustard, fresh mint leaves, and a proper zing of lemon peel. Dead lemony on the finish 🍋 Added a litlle splash of tap water and it completely sorts it. The water binds spirit and cask together beautifully. Great fun to drink tonight. Cheers!

Right, so cracked this one open last night. First whiff hit me with this sort of wet clay and sourdough starter, yeasty like, then suddenly all these golden raisins and sherry sweetness popped out. A bit varnishy on the nose but not in a bad way, more like an old wooden box. Poured a dram, neat first. Bloomin' hell, that's a bold one. "Very fat" is the only way to describe it. Tasted of rounded figs and bitter nuts, with a weird little kick of mustard at the back. Almost metallic, those fats, but interesting. Had to add a drop of water – you know, do not forget your water with a beast like this. That's when the magic happens. The water binds spirit and cask together beautifully. Suddenly it all became more lemony, a little fern, and the whole thing felt like the "best of both worlds". Original distillate fighting the sherry, but in a good way. "Refused to be walked over," that's spot on. Finish is long and appropriately dirtier, that lemony note gets a bit more acetic right at the end, like a good lemon sherbet. What a ride. Great fun, a little crazy, and honestly... bloody brilliant. The gold colour even matches the taste. Just wonderful. 👍

Quite a cosy dram 🥃 I get soft vanilla, a bit of orchard fruit, light spice and a gentle smoky warmth. Feels smooth, slightly sweet, then dries out nicely. Easy to sip on a chilly evening.

Quite cosy on the nose — honey, oak, a bit of vanilla and dried fruit 🍯 Tastes smooth, lightly spicy, with a warm malty sweetness. Finish is gentle, a wee bit smoky, and pretty easy to sip. Cheers 🥃

Hmm, nose is quite nice, sort of malty and a bit fruity. 🍐 First sip... oh that's smooth! 👅 Some toffee sweetness, maybe a hint of spice and oak. Just lovely. Goes down quite easily, a warm glow. 🔥 A bit of vanilla and maybe some dried fruit coming through. Really nice, this one. 🥃 Finish is decent, lingers a bit. Quite satisfying. Definitely my cuppa! 👍
