Nose is all fizzy sweets and fresh barley, like walking past a sweet shop on a damp morning. Touch of lemon curd in there too, bright and zesty. Sip opens very distillate-driven, that impeccable clean spirit letting the cereal notes sing. Cherries and vanilla creep in, but the wood showed real restraint – no heavy oak doping, just a whisper. Milky cappuccino froth on the mid-palate, then a funny salty tang that catches you off guard, almost like a sweet ale with a coastal wink. Still young, I can taste it’s pretty complex for its age even if a little immature. Water’s not obligatory, works neat just fine. Extremely good stuff, this. 🍋🍒☕️
