Just had a dram, and it's got this deep gold hue that catches the light beautifully. Nosing it, there's an massive grassiness upfront, like walking through a wild meadow after rain. Then comes this old stove warmth mixed with coal dust, and a hint of metallic tang that makes you think of vintage tools. Quite austere, really. The taste takes me back to 1968 for some reason—leathery and bold, with little bursts of kumquats and tangerines peeking through all that grassiness. Feels like it's from the old Highlands, solid as rocks. Finish is long and philosophical, lingering like a good conversation. 🥃 Centenary stuff, isn't it?

Wow this one’s a deep gold colour. Massive grassiness hits me first, like freshly cut lawn and wet hay. Then these waxy notes come through, almost like an old leather-bound book or... shoe polish? Definitely reminds me of that modern take on classic styles. It’s a big, big whisky alright. Bold and assertive. Get some tangerine peel and a distinct metallic tang, like touching an old stove or engine oil. Underneath there’s this mineral, almost coal-like quality. Feels like standing near rocks by the sea. Long finish stays with you. A bit leathery, a hint of ink... and that grassiness lingers. Sort of takes you back, you know? Like finding something benchmarked from a different era. Really well done. 👍

这杯酒的颜色深得像旧金子，第一鼻子就让我想到老阁楼里的墨水瓶和鞋油… 有点冲，但有意思。 喝一口，天，感觉像在嚼一块带矿物的石头🪨，还有点机油味？但下一秒，突然蹦出熟透的橘子皮和金桔的甜香。酒体很厚，像涂了一层蜡。 最奇妙的是那股强烈的青草味，猛烈得像闯进了一片刚割过的草地🌿，而且居然和煤炭、金属的冷感混在一起。它有种老派的倔强，不讨好，却像在跟你争论哲学。 咽下去很久，喉咙里还有铁锈和苦草药的味道，但又带着果酱的回甘。整个感觉… 像个固执又充满活力的老朋友，复杂得让人想一再琢磨。它居然还活着。

深金色的酒液一倒出来，就闻到熟透的橘子皮香，还有点金橘那种甜里带酸的皮子味儿。凑近了，嗯……居然有点像老式鞋油和新钢笔墨水混在一起的奇妙气息，挺冲，但莫名上头。 喝下去第一口，天，这活力感！满嘴都是鲜榨柑橘和青草被太阳晒过的味道，矿物质感特别强，像含了块温热的鹅卵石。偶尔一丝金属调闪过，但转眼就被蜂蜡般的醇厚包裹住了。 后段慢慢浮现出很怀旧的气息，让我想起爷爷书房里那支用了很久的钢笔，还有1968年的老日历……这酒喝着喝着，会让人忍不住想点有的没的，有点哲学的味道了。 收尾长得呀，嘴里一直留着柑橘皮和一丝丝矿物感的回甘，像傍晚散步时吹过的风，久久不散。🙂

Cheers, right. Just poured a dram of this old thing. Colour's a deep gold, lovely really. Nose gets you first. Got that engine oil and coal thing going on, like an old stove in a workshop. But underneath, there's this grassy note, almost like crushed stalks, and a bit of waxy polish. A touch metallic, too. It smells... serious. Austere, you know? Takes a moment on the palate. Really bitter at first, like dark chocolate, but then these tart, citrusy notes pop out – tangerines and kumquats. There's a mineral thing, like wet rocks. Waxy again, leathery. It's a proper mouthful, not a sweet one. Finish is long. That coal and metal lingers, but so does a curious, almost philosophical fruitiness. It's a challenging drink, for sure. Makes you think. It's alive, in a way. A proper grassy monster from the old days. 🙂
