This one’s very deep gold – looks rich already. First smell’s a tad pungent, like coffee beans mixed with old Sauternes that got dry. Reminds me of grandma’s tea box 😊. Taste-wise, I get walnut cake and walnuts right away, with tobacco and used notes. Absolutely brilliant! There’s a bit of raw chocolate and stock cube, superbly mustardy too. Earthy vibes come through – mushrooms and morels, but no off-notes with these profiles, it all blends well. Finish is very long, very gastronomic whisky – amontillado-y indeed. 👍

The colour in the glass is a very deep gold, lovely. First sip… wow, a tad pungent at first, but then it opens up. 🤔 I’m getting loads of walnut skins, like cracking a fresh one, and that dusty, woody smell of grandma’s tea box. It’s a bit like tobacco and used matches, but in a good way. There’s a blend of sweet mustard, cumin… and then it turns into something like an old Sauternes that got dry, or maybe an amontillado indeed. Love this one. The finish is very long. It’s a real gastronomic whisky, I think it’d go really well with food. Maybe some walnut cake to match all those walnuts! 😄 The morels and tree bark notes are interesting, with a background of coffee beans and stock cube. Just a fascinating, complex dram.

Poured a glass and the colour's a very deep gold, like old honey. Nose was a tad pungent at first, but then it bloomed – got that walnutty thing and grandma’s tea box, you know, musty and woody. Amontillado-y for sure, with mushrooms and morels underneath. Taste-wise, it’s a superbly mustardy blend, sweet mustard mixed with coffee beans and raw chocolate. Hints of walnut cake and stock cube, like a proper gastronomic whisky. Very long finish with touches of mint and tobacco, tree bark and used matches in there too. Reminds me of old Sauternes that got dry – absolutely brilliant! 👍

Warm and mellow, with a bit of honey, oak and dried fruit coming through. Feels cosy, slightly spicy, and leaves a gentle smoky finish 🥃✨

Warm and sweet at first, a bit honeyed, then some toasted oak and soft spice. Feels cosy, like a quiet night in by the fire 🥃 Finish is mellow, slightly dry, with a wee smoky touch.
